Watercat M12 (Jurmo Class) landing craft

Hi Shipmates,
Waiting for some parts and supplies to arrive.

Reinforced centre section as looked weak, started to cut some formers for the superstructure.

Drilled holes in bow to release pressure of foam when foamed.

Noted from Photos that the Wheelhouse is lower than the main deck, If you look at the woman by the wheelhouse in the police version she is stepping up, more problems!

Hi Shipmates,

Bucket modification, a minor mod to the buckets (for reversing) just filed an angle to the lip to help water flow when buckets are not in use (forward).

Hi Shipmates,
Added, some support for decking and superstructure as most of it is to the edge of the deck, and only a couple of inches is visible.

Glued in shelves for port and starboard reversing bucket servos.

Watercat M12 (Jurmo Class) landing craft

Hi Shipmates,
Major modification to the rear deck area, as real craft has a sunken deck around the wheel house not show on any available drawings, only seen on photographs.

Had to reinforce two formers to the stern of the craft and cut the top of them away, also reinforce the stern and start to insert wood to support the new lower deck.

Add sheet to make another water tight bulkhead.
at the centre of the craft.
I hope there will be ample room for ESCs and Batteries at the rear of the boat.

Watercat M12 (Jurmo Class) landing craft

Hi Shipmates,

Been a bit cold and windy in Cumbria today!

Put in a pivot post for the dual steering.

Connected up the Port reversing bucket servo (cable not adjusted) fixed the Port servo in position.

Did the same with the Starboard bucket servo.

Added Steering servo and linkage.

Tested ok will adjust travel with the transmitter when allocated.

Hi Shipmates,

1.Linkages finished for now.
2.At last, put the side skins on!

Used Hockey tape and clamps.
(Note don't use Hockey tape to tape down hatches any more, as it is so strong it pulled the jell coat of one of my boats)

Watercat M12 (Jurmo Class) landing craft

Hi Shipmates,

Roughly trimmed down side skins, starting to look like a boat! 🚤

Have removed steering gear and drilled out the centre of the Stator (water guide vanes) which used to support the other end of the shaft of an impeller, but this unit it is not fitted and uses a propeller so the centre support would only block the flow of water.

Foamed the Bow area for strength and buoyancy
