   Wow! What a beautiful model! Inspires me to go into my files for a plan of a penny steamer I have stashed away.
   
   My problem is too much inspiration and not enough perspiration. I love so many kinds of ships and boats that I want to build them all, sometimes jumping off a project to research a new one. So when I get my legs working again and some space to do it in, I will focus on completing a previously started project.
   
   This model makes me envious of your work!

   I was lucky to meet one of Campbell’s engineers. So got authentic colours. He was strange a friend of his made him a model of Bristol Queen. It wasn’t right so he never spoke to his ex friend again. I took Glen Usk to show him. He studied it for a long time hummed
   & had. Then said the whistle is to small.

   Glen Usk the steam plant with water = 5lb the total weight of model = 9lb . So no need to be Tarzan. The hull 1/16 balsa covered in Ali plate. ( cut cider cans ). Made 2001 dropped twice once of bench other down stairs to my shop. Looks a bit tatie now though but still going. I also sailed on G. U. In the 1950s. Her life 1914 to 1963 so you could have been on in 30s . I also have Duke of Devonshire she is bigger at 6’ same construction.

   What a lovely model of a ship from my childhood. I had many a trip on her from Barry to Weston Super Mare as a child in the forties, not sure, but probably the thirties too.
