That's a great job working from photos only Alan - a very good looking model with excellent detail. Congratulations on a very well built replica.
At one stage there was a website where you were able to download the plans - created by a one of the members of the restoration team - long since disappeared. Believe one of the prime movers passed away. Not sure what exactly has happened to the Tug - even the Publicity office in Villiersdorp did not seem to know much . After Lockdown think a drive up there to find out is called for...............
Have the plans in both paper & digital format - in fact posted on this site about it last year - they were obtained from the long defunct SA Maritime Museum many years ago (80s). Was lucky enough to also travel on the AV a few times under steam. Have two unmade card models of the AV produced by then friend Dave Clarke who worked for the museum - (Dave was also the source of the plans) - last heard of he was working for the Maritime Museum in Malta. Long gone now.
On the stocks here is a start at converting a small Lindberg tug to the Alwyn Vintcent - half the new parts being drawn up already - so would love to see the photos you used for the build.

I would post them in your build log.
You could also explain the process from start to finish on how you went from photos to completed model.
