Hi, H, -I was looking for a cheaper way to build models, as the price of balsa is ridiculous now. I had made a large tug in the 70s with the foam/glass method which worked well, so have now built 7 with that method. Much faster and cheaper to build, light, unsinkable, and durable.

HI Rodger, it has a removable c/board/bulb keel. Initially had a removable weighted centerboard, (to try and look scale,) but it wasn't that successful. New keel is lighter with the weight at the bottom, rather than built into the c/board. (see build blog)
