The Solent Lifeboat is a member of the Aerokits range that has eluded me so far.
Most of the other models in their range I have either built or driven - but not the Solent Lifeboat.
Les Rowell usually produced the designs for many good Classic Model Power Boats to be kitted (H&M, Aerokits, LesRo being the most well known).
It was good to see that when he chose to deviate from his usual choice of cabin cruisers that he chose such a nice model to kit as the Solent Lifeboat.
Thanks for the info about the orange paint and the undercoat - much appreciated.
Have one of these myself Martin, I presume yours like mine is the Aerokit model, your much further on than me, but would be interested as to where you got your stantions from.

Yes its an Aerokit (I've corrected my title)
The stanchions came from Bill Owens at lincolmodelboats@gmail.com
The paint is Hycote Double Acrylic Volkswagen Brilliant Orange, I used Halfords Plastic filler primer, which is a sort of yellowy green colour.
The Hycote came from Amazon
