Scratch built on a fibreglass hull. The Mersey Ferries of this era (1930's) were all built on similar hulls so the fibreglas hull mould serves many different Mersey ferries. This was a series of five. Claughton Hinderton Thurstaston Bidston and Upton although the Upton was slightly smaller. Lite ply and plasticard are used extensively on this model.
