Purchased from a deceased member in 2013 I spent many hours refurbishing this classic. Two lots of 10 NiMH cells power the MFA Torpedo 850 at a bit more than scale speed for the whole morning cruising. The crew look a bit surly but the dog is cheerful enough, and turns his head on demand.😉
I had a 42" Sea Queen with a 4-stroke Gannard Petrol Engine and a 36". I sold the 42" as it is too big but removed the engine and sold it separately. We are no longer allowed to use noisy motors - only electric ones.
I still have the 36" shell, and hopefully will get her into shape in the coming year.
What I don't like about the Sea Queen is that pointy windscreen, but otherwise it's a nice model and easy to work with as all the roofs can be removed to access to the hull.
Duncan, two of the figures came from Adrian's Model Figures, but that firm no longer exists. Mountfield Models took over their production but these particular figures no longer appear in their line up. I had to carry out major surgery on the skipper so he holds the steering wheel.
The sitting sailor eyeing up his lunch was bought in France from a gift shop in one of the Normandy fishing villages. 😉

Not painted for looks but pure high speed fun..
Unfortunately I've advertised it as no room
I was very tempted, but think it sold before I got back from a visit to the local chip shop!
The little animated dog looked good too 👍
