Another loft find. Bought for £15 as a very delapidated static model. Converted for RC. Many new parts required and complete repaint from deck up. Up for sale as I have too many boats. Sorry you are to late the boat has been sold.
My own design double acting twin oscillator. Running under steam for the first time. Steam pressure down to 5psi. By the bench on the floor a derelict fire boat, re build one day. installed in Duke of Devonshire.

I built this Range Safty Launch two years ago and I am now changing the hull paintwork to also include a water line. I never got around to doing this for some reason.
Range Saftey Launch
I purchased the plans for this model after my late father passed away, he too was building this model but failed to finish it before he died. My father was an Ex RAF Patrol boat pilot, hence the design was appropriate. The plans (Two sheets) are really well presented and easy to use. Each of the sheets provide ample detail to construct the basic model and if you are an experienced builder then these should suffice. However, a little research may be required to put the final touches together for the completed model (If you are a perfectionist like me). These plans are suitable for a novice as a first time project. This being my first attempt at a scale model. The boat once completed sails really well. I fitted mine out with electric motors, speed controller etc and when on the water a few heads turned! Fantastic plans GO FOR IT! Roy McCluskey
Only plated a 6ft model of a The Bismark over a wooden form previously using tin plate and all soldered together but this system using drink cans sounds interesting and will try out a few test plates first. I assume you replicate the rivets by centre punching the can segments from the underside before fixing to the hull. The 'Ross Tigers' hull is 4 ft long so it may become an interesting project.
Aquired as response to grandsons'Can't we have one like that' request on seeing other club members ' Hooligan boat'.
Cheap second hand commercial speed boat steered by shutting down port or starboard motors and only on/off on pretend transmitter.
Now modified with proper ESC, 2.4 radio with servo operated rudder and upgraded to take 8.4v NiCad.
Length: 30 inches_ Not yet sailed in modified form !
Looks like a nice mod on her. I have one but wasn't happy with it as it didn't have a very good radio range. But did go quite well in the radio range she had. That should be a lot better now you have done this to her. I gave my brother one that I got from a boot fair that cost me a £5er. He ripped out the insides and has fitted it with a small brushless motor and 2.4gh radio and it is not so much a hooligan but more of a total maniac. But good fun.
