- RNinMunichFleet AdmiralHi TD,Hi TD, Admittedly there is a certain similarity in hull shape, not surprising since both classes were based on current commercial trawler / whaler designs. But that's as far as it goes. Attached is a photo (port side) of an early (short forecastle) Flower, K63 Picotee. Put that 'head to head' with the pic of Baffin's starboard side, and stbd view of the model in the video, and the differences are immediately apparent so I won't list them here. Y'all can play 'Spot the differences' 😉 First clue for me was the Pennant number; T275. 'T' for Trawler. The Flowers had pennant numbers beginning with 'K' for 'K'orvette😉 coz 'C' was already in use for Cruisers and Carriers. So I looked for HMS or HMCS T275 and immediately hit HMS Baffin. Digging deeper I also found this on UBoat Net- https://uboat.net/allies/warships/ship/2718.html Q.E.D. 😉 Easy mistake to make TD. Cheers, Doug 😎[{"id":"165650628680","name":"165650628680","caption":"","url":"https:\/\/beta.model-boats.com\/media\/165650628680\/l","thumbUrl":"https:\/\/beta.model-boats.com\/media\/165650628680\/s","isImage":false,"ext":"file"}]

Seeing the time and effort other people put into their modelling hobby, and looking at the "build blogs" and forum comments on "Model Boats Website". I was prompted to share (with agreement) a couple of build (logs) blogs which would reach a wider audience via my youtube posts.
The intention is just to supplement and acknowledge ideas from all who share this common interest.
No monitorisation is received from this or any postings.

- DuncanPCommanderSome photos of how I have laid out the various components in the compartments. I have my Lipo battery mounted laterally against the bulkhead in the cabin at the rear of wheelhouse (battery not shown). The battery is placed between the water-cooled ESC and the bulkhead. They are held in place with velcro as well as the extra battery box and RX box. I'm using a 3 bladed prop with a pro drive 35-42 brushless motor with a Viper 50amp water cooled ESC. The battery is a 3 cell 2200mah 11.1v Overlander battery. The RX is held in foam in an old business card plastic case along with a electronic switch to switch on the spotlight. In the aft compartment with the rudder is a 6v AAA battery box for the searchlight. When not in use, I keep the lipo battery in a fire proof bag inside a metal petty cash box for safety!😊Some photos of how I have laid out the various components in the compartments. Detail and precision are Grahams hallmark and it is a privilege for me to showcase some of his work through "RC Sailing" and the Model Boats Website.
