After a little video of the H.Sw.Visby I tested out my no name R/C boat over the winter change motor coulping & receiver . So she need a little test run at the Hamilton Bay Leander dock seemed o/k to me so looking forward to a summer of model boat sailing . The kids must have been off due to Earth Day & here in Canada Covid restriction have been mostly over .Thank goodness .

Just a selection of boats sailing on Sunday 3rd April 2022 with Members from the Buxton Model Boat Club.

A short video to celebrate sailing 3 x 1/24 scale Fairmile D's as well as a Vosper 73' Type 1 at the same time.
Graham's boats are scratch-built onto fibreglass hulls.
My boats are totally scratch-built.

Up until now, I didn't have a tug boat in my harbor. Every harbor should have a tug on duty, right? This is how it came, I plan to add a couple embellishments, but this one is primarily "for fun".

Back at Towne Lake for more fun and friendship. Had a good time, we saw 2 subs in the water, a few tugs, launches, working boats and an old MRP deep vee and a Micro Magic. I had a great time as I finally got my Italeri Vosper handling decently even in the windy conditions we had. A little more tweaking and she’ll be spot on, but I’m pleased with her for now.

Just a quick update with the new camera boat before fitting and running with the Gopro attached.
Observations :-
1. Maneuverability - Great - but better control with high and low rate options!.
2. Speed - Too much ? - may be , but enough for me to throttle back quickly !.
3. Camera - Good balance and rotation for 360*.
4. Cost - Minimal - ie. Motor & ESC kit from Hobbybitz.
5. Noise - 5/10
6. Fun Factor - 10/10 - just for fun ! - enjoy RC Sailing !.

NOTE - I would be interested to know of any theories in respect of the "PULSING NOISE" of the motor ?????

Once again our intrepid members meet at Josey Ranch in Carrollton Texas to have fun, give each other a hard time and promote the hobby of model boating. 😀
