This is me showing the boat at a Kingdom Hall. My goal with this model is donate it to a Bible Museum.

I also used the blue prints on the book by Shelley Wachsmann, "The Sea of Galilee Boat- An Extraordinary 2000 Year Old Discovery". This book also is a good source for creating many details added to the kit.

With all the members permission I would like to share my Galilee Boat project.
Here is a brif story of how I got my hands on the model.
I have to mentioned where I got this kit from because is always good the real story behind the kit.

Scott Miller owns the business and I asked him how he came to produce this now famous boat kit.

This was his exacts words:

I was a moderator at MSW when Captian Pugwash was running the site and had just moved on from building kits to scratch building. I did the Triton cross section build that was going on at the time and that got me interested in building models other than standard scale ships. This lead me to building boat models because they are fun to build and can be done in much less time than a three master ship. The also don't require a lot of rigging which was attractive to me as well.

One model that was fun to build and could easily be scratch built was Midwest's Peterborough canoe kit. I made quite a few of these as gifts and this introduced me to building on a strong back and using thin CA glue to weld planks together

I started looking at different boats that I could model and found that no one offered a Sea of Galilee boat model kit other than a paper one from a German company. I found an excellent book by Shelly Wachsmann about the discovery of the Kinneret boat and that book had a set of ships plans in it. I used those plans plus what I had learned from building Peterborough canoes to build the first 16" Sea of Galilee model.

Great weather this week so off to Leander Boat dock for Andrea Gail maiden run I made a video but could not down load on this wed site But I did take a still photo so here she is & the model work well .As soon as the boat pool opens a Spencer's in Burlington It will get a summer of running .

This kit from BillingBoats, the SMIT NEDERLAND was A harber tug in Rotterdam Netherlands build in 1979. There where 9 of this tugs working in the harber. You can find more of my building in https://www.modelbouwforum.nl/threads/smit-nederland-billing-boats.282005/

I’ve contact with old sailers of this tug, and they are follow me in Holland, and have a lot of information of these 1800 serie build Tugs, in that time,….
Now i’ve testing the lights and sound.

Having recently posted the other two videos I made to pass the time when the UK was first locked down due to the pandemic I thought I would post the third and final short video I made at the time.

This video covers the evacuation of the British Expeditionary Force from the beaches of Dunkirk in Northern France in 1940 by the armada of ships and little boats that went to their rescue.

The amazing tenacity of the British people in war torn Britain in 1940. Without their rescue the outcome of World War II could have been dramatically different.

Miss Katherine runs very well though the geared motor linkage is a bit noisy, needed some grease.

Here is the real Miss Katherine as you will find her today should you visit Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia. She has been in the boat yard for over 15 years.

Has anyone any experience of running some items on a boat by Wi Fi/Bluetooth in parallel to the boat been operated by normal Rx/Tx equipment.
Using ESP8266

I have been using a 3D printer now for over 5 years. My first was a Prusa i3 which I extensively modified over the years and looked more like some creation rather than a printer, but it worked. The problem I always had, was tall things being thrown off the bed 🤣 and slow printing. So now I have a Creality Ender5-S1 running Klipper software. What a dramatic difference. I was in the process of designing a 3D printable boat in FreeCad which was designed with 3D printing in mind. Then I thought someone must have had the same idea.
