TRY ONE
I have just received this plan for a trimaran from Kevin Branch he scaled it up to I mtr so I can use my 1 mtr rigs it will need a bit modifying to bring it up to date a bit but for £5 inc post for two full sheets is not bad

Noels Raft
This is a raft that one of our members Noel built from bean cans soldered together powered by a blower motor /12v 9mah battery it is a model of his fathers full size raft made from 45gallon drums powered by a car engine it was sailed off Cresswell near Newbiggin by the sea it made headlines in the local newspapers as Noel can no longer join us at the lake due to his failing health I will keep it and sail it on his behalf and use it as a rescue craft

Put him in the scuppers with a hosepipe on him was the original wording as opposed to put him in a barrel

S 7 schnellboot
scratchbuilt from ply and balsa wood powered by two Caldercraft 750 motors to 40mm props only took about three months to build as a winter project its not perfect but was never meant to be more than a toy, 54 inches long and gives a good response in speed and handling

Looks good for 'a toy'. Happy boating. 😊

This particular version of Schnellboat is one I have been looking at for some time to build after I complete my current project of Smit Rotterdam.
Being Scratch-built, I think you have done a particularly good job of it. Did you draw up the plans for this yourself or are they available on the internet for purchase. if I dont build this next it would be one I would like to build in the future.

Built from a plan in 'Model Boats' in the 80's with a balsa hull and ply decking. Powered by a single cylinder 'Unit Steam Engine' from the same era, and a meths fired boiler. Only recently has radio control been added.

Hi Laurie, since my last post I have filled a short length of 15mm copper pipe with lead and tied it under the keel. What a difference, now sits in water better and very stable Cant believe the difference moving the weight under the keel makes. Thonk I will bolt it through the keel so I can remove it for display, thanks for your help good sailing

    HI Roger,
hadn't thought of a tube, and it's a lot simpler than my yacht keel idea!

M.F.A Tracker
This is my M.F.A Tracker . When originally purchased it had the large and heavy 850 motors in it and old electronics , after a close call with a fire on board I decided to refit her out with modern Brushless motors and over rated Escs powered by Lipo's . Works out a 1/3 rd the weight 3 times the speed and run time over an hour . So a great result

Oh yes , sound effects donated by nearby Tug 😊

PT109
33" Dumas kit of the PT109. Not very stable boat with little freeboard it doesn't inspire confidence at speed. 😭

Yes I guess that it might have been a bit difficult. Never mind, it is good to chat with you through this website if that is all we have available at present (barring Star Trek Transporters!!!).
