Huntsman 34 "John"

First run on the water, was not pushing it just checking temps and drive. The batteries were at about 25% down on top speed when I decided to make a video. The Tornado 850 motor and 60A speed controller seem well suited to the job.

Fairmile D - MGB623 and MTB741

Both Fairmile D boats 1/24 scale and are scratch built. They have both been about 6 years in operation.
MGB623 is an MGB, flying the Norwegian flag and belongs to a good friend.
Mine is MTB741. it is powered by 2 Graupner Speed 700 12V motors with NiMH batteries. The 6 pdrs and 20mm guns can rotate. it has a balsa planked hull and fibreglass skin. Decks and superstructure are also balsa. Guns are from tinplate and brass.

Excellent boats with great scale performance. I like the Fairmile Ds as they are good subjects for modelling and at static displays they always attract a lot of attention.

Sea Cadet

We had a brilliant though exhausting day at Winterbourne house and gardens on Saturday with lots of steaming and BBQ bacon!! Here is a superb Marten Howes Balis in aluminium owned by John Esher.

RNLI Largs Scotland

Got this charming we fishing trawler from the local RNLI in Largs. Then I came accros this photograph of similarly looking vessels. Great stuff.
