Scale models are the only way to see in 3 dimensions how long-gone vessels looked, so it's great to see a unique model that represents this class of vessels.

And great to have it showing its paces.

    Well done.

Great looking model. We had a member who built a similar model and fitted it out with dolls house fittings.
Have you sailed your model?, if I remember correctly the turning circle was not good.

Yes have raided my granddaughter's dolls house for bits and bobs. Sails well and has the turning circle of a real container ship 😊 . Great fun though

Looks a very atmospheric model. Your Dad should have been very proud of this. Very nice.

Grace of Harwich
Grace is my first and favourite rc model. I bought this for a bargain £70 on ebay, requiring a little care and attention. She sails beautifully and looks good in the water. She sits low and looks like a trading barge from days gone by.

Bought this from a charity shop in Gillingham. Put in new prop shaft motor and servo's etc. She is a very heavy boat and sits a little low in the water, want to use it for the lights on the lake events eventually.

Sea Queen 48" Cabin Cruiser
I built this sea Queen ,aka Blue Streak, from a Jotika kit. But found the motor did not give the performance I expected. So the motor was replaced with an Overland T4250 Brushless motor with Fusion Hawk 60amp ESC fed by an Overland 14.8 4s 4000Ma Lipo battery. The performance is greatly enhanced, Boat is finished in white with blue cabin tops and a large blue streak down each side. And shows the Australian flag.

Dumas American Enterprise
Maiden voyage of American Enterprise on Poole Park Lake 10/2/15. Leopard 4074-1400kv x 2 Mystery 100a ESC x2 all watercooled. 4 cell lipo 6500MA. Went very well until one brand new ESC packed up! Second one to do this, bit iffy I reckon. Turns a treat and very scale like in running.
