Still in hospital hope to be discharged by end of week.
Then it's about a couple of months recovery before I am back in the workshop

“May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face; the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.”

I'd like to pass along a message from Martin555 who originally started this thread and who has helped a great deal of members over the years;
----
I am extremely sorry to have to leave the site but I have personal family problems that will require a lot of my time.
I have absolutely enjoyed communicating with all the members and looking at their fantastic models.
I want to say a big thank you to everyone for making my time on this, the best model boat site on the internet, so enjoyable.
And also a big thank you to Stephen and the Admin Team.
It has been great.
Thank you,
Martin
----
I believe he'll occasionally come online as a guest, so I'd like to send a big thank you for all the fantastic knowledge, camaraderie and support you've offered over the last few years, and I wish you all the best for whatever the issues are. I've no doubt others share the same sentiment.

Glad they discovered what it was. Superphosphates are nasty stuff. I used to visit a copper mine where they extracted the stuff didn't realize what it was no warnings.

Glad you are doing better Nerys. Sometimes I think that we, as modelers, know more about our field than the medics know about theirs. Hang in there.

Keep on keeping on Dear Lady 👍

BTW Re masks and steamed up glasses;
I had the same problem as Alice when going from a cold car park into a warm supermarket or chemist etc. Until I started taking my glasses off while still in my warm car, putting them in an inside pocket to keep warm, and only putting them on again when inside the building 😉🤓
