I'm a bit surprised to hear that countries like South Africa and Canada are not getting the vaccine until mid or late next year, particularly Canada. , What is it, the richer countries, US, UK, Germany etc getting their orders in before others. No doubt, the rich countries get first pickings because they can be charged exhorbitant prices, whereas the poor just haven't the money to get it. So, if that's the case, when will the world's poor get a look in, countries like Yemen, Eritrea and all the other impoverished parts of Africa. No doubt, not until the drug companies have satisfied all the demands of their richest clients.

I sincerely hope so Selwyn🤞
Seems now to depend on the logistics of the vaccine production and distribution.
With some vaccines it seems to be much less complex than with others.🤔

Absolutely Rick👍
and we're not over the hill just yet, maybe just reaching the crest🤞
But we're getting there.
Hang in there folks, we want to hear from you with your building and sailing exploits next year as well😊
Stay safe, follow the rules, even when it goes against the grain!
Cancelled / postponed events you can catch up on, maybe next year. IF you're still around.

The good news is the vaccine is in the process of readiness for the near future.
That is wonderful news but we must stay the fight wash hands mask up keep 6 feet apart if we go out.
If we don't look after ourselves who will.
When I read posts I get that most of us are older and have medical issues.
We have members posting from around the world in the same position as we are waiting for the vaccine.
We are not safe until we are all safe world wide.

Hi Guys,
A little bit of good news for a change.
As most of you are aware England has come out of lockdown today, but tough restrictions are in place with this three tier system.
So we will be able to do a bit of Christmas shopping before the big day.
So please remember: HANDS, FACE, SPACE.

Stay safe.

Really pleased to hear that you have enjoyed a lovely day with your grandchildren. Thank goodness, or Boris, and more likely goodness as one can't mention those two words in the same sentence that restrictions on you being able to have days like this have been lifted. Pleased that Caroline is getting on well. We are all expecting great things of you now that you are able to model indoors.

Best wishes,
Nerys

ABIG THANK YOU, to all well wishers.
We have spent a quiet peacefull day with our grandchildren.
Hard to get my head round 3 words in that last sentence, (quiet peaceful, grandchildren.) but it was a lovely calm day, my son had explained that nanny wasn't well and they had to be good.
I can understand it with the 6 year old grandson, but little xena at 23 months that was a revelation.
Sat next to Caroline all day while her big brother read some stories to us, and entertained us with his guitar.
We got home about an hour ago and I am just cooking the evening meal.
Caroline said thank you all, and I am allowed to do my modelling in the house while she needs me nearby.
Cheers Colin.

That's two lots of good news I've had today, a friend has been in hospital, quite ill, having been given the wrong chemo which caused sepsis. She came out today too.

Good evening all, better news today.
Caroline has responded well to the medication so they have sent her home, although she has to go back weekly for tests as her bloods are showing signs of cancer again.
But we were aware of this from the past.
She now says let's get back to living life to best we can. She also says thank you all for your support and kindness.
Now with our family, we can hopefully enjoy Christmas together.
Might possibly be able to do some modelling.
Cheers Colin.

This evenings news on my wife.
Had a chat with the consultant today and he feels that she is responding to medication and may not have to have surgery.
She is having a scan in the morning and if all is going okay then she could be allowed home later in the day.
Fingers crossed it seems like an eternity since Sunday. But I hope to sleep well tonight.
Cheers to all who sent me their wishes, it's helped me no end.
Thanks from both of us, Colin and Caroline. 👍

Thanks Nerys, luckily Caroline has her phone and video calls me 3 times a day, so at least we can chat to cheer each other up.
Our dog seems lost without her, he sits in her chair whimpering , off his food, and bedtime he keeps jumping onto Caroline's side of bed and pawing the pillow.
I'm sure that she is getting the best treatment and hopefully won't be away too long.
Thank you for your welcome message of concern, I really appreciate it.
Stay safe and well, best wishes to you and Alice.
Cheers Colin.

Thanks guys, its nice to know I'm not alone.
Caroline just rang and also thanks you all for watching over me.
She is feeling a bit better, but that might be the morphine.
They are treating her with drugs for a couple of days, but not allowed anything to eat or drink, she asked if the drip could be changed for Bacardi.
Hopefully the specialist will decide what to do on Wednesday.
I'm feeling better today, so I went to have a clean in the garage. Maybe have a sort through my modelling parts stock tomorrow.
Cheers shipmates Colin and Caroline.

Don't worry if I'm not posting for a few days, as I don't feel up to it .
My wife Caroline was rushed into hospital last night, and as the covid lockdown prevents visitors I have to have faith in the NHS to get her well again. She rang me a few minutes ago and told me that she will be having surgery possibly later today or tomorrow.
Signing of for now best wishes to everyone Colin.

We have the ability and knowledge to help each other fight this war on covid19.
