Rear Admiral Robbob, your promotion and height on that 'greasy pole' I think all would agree are well deserved and an example to us all !!, your build blogs are exemplary and the build results are always awesome !, and thank you, by the way for your kind words on MY promotion 😜, but regardless of points & promotions, it's obvious that there is real joy and enthusiasm for the hobby ( or should that be LIFESTYLE !! 🤣) and more power to your collective elbows !.

Re :- however I do have a project in mind, so you never know, watch this space
Now that sounds interesting.
I do hope a build log is not far away.
Martin555.
Hi Martin555, I agree that participation by more members is desirable and I confess now, that I'm really only a 'camp follower' at the moment !, however I do have a project in mind, so you never know, watch this space !! 🤣.

Hi hmsnostalgia,
I don't think anybody was offended.
I see your point i have been trying to get more members to be more active in the site.
It is a little strange that out of 5,732 registered members that a very small amount are active.
I would really like that to change so common guys lets get this site really buzzing.
Martin555.
RE Chiefs & Indians, yes I do agree that the ranking & points is only a bit of fun !, I was just making what I thought was an amusing observation, and in no way meant to be offensive or derogatory and I apologise if anyone was offended. 🙁

"Too many chiefs & not enough Indians'" maybe its the chiefs who keep the site fresh and interesting we could do with some more Indians doing some blogging.
As Martin says its just a bit of fun.

I like the ranking approach to this site.If you look at the membership of 5700 ten % 570 who may go on once in a while .10% of the 570 are the members on most of the time the strength of this forum. We help each other look for ways to help when we get stuck. To laugh with each other and be sad at times but always there to aide when needed.I feel sorry for the 90% who miss out on the social aspect of the membership. For me reading the posts and adding a comment now and then in away getting to know one another.Keeping us in a good place during this pandemic.I hear some say they find it hard to get started .Answering and posting is starting as you have to read the post so it keeps your mind in the game. Its not a project it is a way to keep engaged .

Hi hmsnostalgia,
RE :- I think we're witnessing another case of 'Too many chiefs & not enough Indians'
As i have said in the past the Rank/point system was only set up as a bit of fun.
If members got paid something related to their rank then i can see that eventually there could be problems.
The idea of too many chiefs is that because a few members participate on the site more that others ?
Obversely the more a member participates the more points are gained and therefor higher up the ranks that member goes.
In the end The points/rank system means absolutely nothing.
I myself would not mined being demoted as if i were that way inclined it would give me something to aim for and maybe it will motivate me to become more active on the site.
Please don't take this the wrong way but it is only a bit of fun.

Start a War.We will have a tough time fighting from our bunkers.
A good pillow fight might work out.Might have to put our feet up now and then just to give our opponent a rest.
LOL
