With many local councils here in the United Kingdom having restricted cash flow, it's getting increasingly more difficult to source a pond that's weed free and has the required depth for the D95's standard keel. Has anyone had experience of this now available shortened version and it's advantages and disadvantages.
By the way, does anyone know the actual length of the standard Dragonflite 95 keel. Is it true that approx some 80mm is taken up of the length of the keel to insert into the hull. I'm trying to gauge as a comparison, the short keel against the standard keel, in order to have a guide as to what water depth I can sail in.
