Model Slipway Puffer hull

HI Bernard, I would use a scalpel used with a new blade, I have used scissors for things like this and find that sometimes it cracks the plastic.

Model Slipway Puffer hull

I'm about to start building the small Puffer kit and am worried about cutting out the two halves of the hull. I have built boats with wood hulls and fibreglass but I'm frightened of damaging It. Model Slipway recommend using scissors but can anyone suggest another way?
