Steam engines are my weakness with regard to motive power.
I don't know if I am allowed to say this on this web site, But the Union Pacific Big Boy Locomotive is my favorite example of Steam Power. Over 6000 HP. Boilers running at 300 psi. Capable of over 80mph😮😮😁😁

Ron, steaming is a new venture for me, but my local model engineering club is full of steam buffs so hopefully I will be able to learn the safest way.
Plus our wonderful website has a mass of knowledge, which I also hope to utilise.

To those who know how to use it. I wouldn't 🤔 Looking forward to developments.

Hi guys, having looked carefully at using my Stuart Turner Sun engine in a tug I thought it would be too expensive to get the required variable pitch prop system to allow full control, so I have treated myself to a Saito T2 twin cylinder marine steam engine with reversing control.
I will still be using my Stuart Turner boiler to power it, now I need a suitable tug to fit it in. Will have to search in the back of my stores to see if there is a suitable Hull.
