Oh, my what is it?
But, ended up having to send it back!
Do to cracks all over it's parts!
I'm talking about my "Christ Craft Sport Fisherman!"
But, after sending this model back for a full refund!
Which I got but had to put in a dispute!
I also won the dispute! Anyway I saw another boat!
But, I know the guys and gals of this fine website!
Will be angry at my next acquisition!
As it's an RTR 35" Fishing Trawler!
Reason for the RTR I ain't got any room left to build!
So, decided to cheat.............
PS. Did I really leave out the picture!
You, decide! Did I!
Or was it left out purpose......
- Cum on don't be shy share.
Who cares what format it comes in, its a boat.
Cheers Colin.Liked by figtree7nts and Martin555 - Are you fishing for a comment or just stringing us a line.

"My-Jen" has arrived!
Although, I had computer problems!
Seems my Monitor went on the frits!
I ended up having to order a new one!
Which I got today along with my Yacht!
So, first I did was unpack my new monitor!
And switch it from my server monitor!
But, that's another story!
Anyway, On to the fun part!
Unpacking the yacht was a small task!
As it comes packed so that it doesn't brake!
First I had to cut around the the edge of the shipping box!
Pull that off, It help to have another person help with this!
Anyway, pull the shipping box apart!
Then take a good look inside!
Make sure everything is OK!
Everything is held down by tape!
Cut the tape then pull the radio box off!
Put that to the side!
The model is held in place by a strap!
Cut, the strap pull it off!
I then leaned the shipping box on it's side!
Then gently pulled the foam supports out!
Pulling the model out of the shipping box!
I then removed all of the Support foam off the model!
I then assembled the Boat Stand!
This was very simple to do!
Press and fit all the model boat stand parts together!
May add a bead of cyano to it to hold it together!
OK, I realize I didn't build it!
But, have run out of space to build!
"My-Jen" is my last boat to collect!
No more space available!
Oh, Reason I have named my new yacht "My-Jen"
Is, I have named her after my wife!
Who has put up with my hobby for years now!
Jennifer loves the name I have picked!
Oh, I finally have a fiberglass hull!!!!!
Cheers, Ed
PS. She come with a 2.4 gig wheel controller!
And a 2S 7.4 volt 25C Battery!
I've gone ahead and ordered 2 more!
Just in case I want to stay at the pond longer!
Oh, Wait I don't even know If I can go to the pond!
Rats, that Covid 19!
Cheers, all!
- Hi Martin,
Jennifer, Is quite happy with the Name I picked! LOL! 🙈🙉🙊!
Cheers, EdLiked by Martin555 - And to us in SA well over ZAR 15 000.00!
Name Boards!
But, I want a thin boarder line.
Going around her name!
So, I used my label maker!
To make her name boards!
I think they look OK!
What do you think?
Cheers, Ed
- That looks great, I have a Brother labeller and have not thought of using it on my boats, thinking about it they do all sorts of tapes, different colours transparent etc.
I going to give that a goLiked by figtree7nts and stevedownunder and - Hi Michael,
Thank you!
I do plan to change them!
When I have a chance to make better name boards!
Maybe, I'll look into purchasing a Brother Label maker too! LOL!

3D Printed Figures, and a Dog named Spot!
I had looked around for 1:20th scale figures!
But, I could find any!
So, I 3D printed some out!
All, I have to do now is paint the figures!
Oh, lets not forget Spot also was printed!
For those of you who'd like to know!
It takes about 2 hours per figure to print them out!
Lots of fun.............
- They look great Ed , I will speak to Ricky my go to 3D printing guru when I'm allowed to mix with the rest of humanity 😁.
Cheers Marky👍Liked by Martin555 - Ed,
I am glad to see the printing is coming together better now.
Naval figures in different scales would be a money maker.
Martin555.
Onboard with the Crew of the My-Jen!
I know 3D printing isn't the same as purchasing them from a source!
But, having 3D printing them!
I've saved money but I do need to paint them!
I have some acrylic paint.
But, I need to order some Flesh tone paint!
The rest of the colors I can mix and match!
The My-Jen yacht may not have been a kit!
But, at least the Crew is!
Cheers, Ed
Oh, the Crew is scaled to 1:20th as needed for the My-Jen!
- Hi Ed , I spotted spot 🤣
Cheers Marky👍Liked by figtree7nts and Martin555 - Ed,
Spot is on the bridge on Dog watch LOL!!

On a serious note!
I have a question on handling it!
As no instructions came with the battery!
It did how ever come with it's own charger!
And I'm concerned about the battery!
I have heard stories about these batteries igniting!
How true are these stories!
And do do I really have to be careful with this battery?
I don't want to go out for a walk.
Only to come back to ashes!
So, am I being over cautious!
I don't have one of those fire bags!
So, I currently have it in a crock pot!
Which I believe may be able to handle a fire! LOL!
Seriously should I worry ?????
Very Worried, Ed
- Hi Doug,- to add to your bit. -Most chargers these days will cut off automatically if there is an imbalance/overcharge/wrong cell count selected etc but a plug in temp sensor (if your charger accepts one) is a good option to make use of. One major danger for LiPos lying around on your building table, which probably no one thinks about, is sharp modelling knives or the like. If you happen to puncture a LiPo, it's all on,😮 (and by the way, no extinguisher will put them out, as it is a chemical reaction which will keep going till it runs out of fuel💥⚡) best to remove batteries to a safe place when working, and only bring them to the bench when necessary. Best to charge them near a window or door so if anything does happen, you can quickly deposit them on the lawn, concrete'- (some non flammable area) etc to do their thing.
A steel bucket is also a handy thing to keep near to drop a burning LiPo in, while you carry it outside (all the while filling your house with horrible smelling smoke) along with sturdy leather gloves to grab the leads on the offending battery HOT HOT HOT (I keep side cutters handy as well). Above all, as with all small fires, do not panic!. Panic can turn small fires into big fires!
I have used LiPos for 10 yrs and never had a problem. I have 40 LiPos at present (largest 5s 45c) and a number are over 6 yrs old, (some from 2011 which I'm still using) As you and others have mentioned, charging at a low rate makes the batteries last longer, and generates no heat. I always charge at 1.5A which I have found to be a happy medium,- takes a while but pretty safe. Always return batteries to 'storage voltage if not using for a few days/weeks.
I always balance charge, and set the charger to view the cell volts, that way I can see exactly what is happening (if one is lagging/ overcharging etc) After charging,-even if the charger is showing all cells balanced (within .3v) I put them on my balancer and let them balance again. Loses a bit of voltage but double checks they are properly balanced. The only way I have been able to get a LiPo going, is to drive a nail or a steel garden rake through one. They are actually quite forgiving if you follow the right Procedures.
For my smaller batteries,(2/3/4s) I use a charger which charges one cell at a time, (pic) and will never overcharge a cell. If a cell has a problem it will stop. It can also rejuvenate over-discharged batteries to a reasonable extent. I have 2 10yr old 2s 1800 Mah batteries which are completely knackered which I use for testing, and it continues to charge them to their max, (which is only about 75%) before starting to cut out. No problems what so-ever! You don't really need to stand and watch them, just be handy, be prepared, and have a plan in case of a problem.
Don't be scared, be careful! If you are worried about LiPos, don't fly in a Dream liner, they have a sack full of LiPos in each wing!

The Tub Test, NIMH Battery!
I left My-Jen floating in the Tub for a few hours!
Good thing!
No leaks have been found!
I also had ordered a 7.2 Volt 3000 MAH battery!
I had also ordered 2 chargers!
The chargers are from TENERGY!
The Lipo battery I received with My-Jen!
Is going to be discharged!
As I don't want it!
Oh, My-Jen is ballast correctly!
And she floats right at her water line!
I was a bit worried about her not being at her water line!
But, worried for nothing as she's at the right height!
I know my pictures come out blurry!
Not sure why the lens is clean!
Eventually I'll buy a camera! LOL!
Cheers, Ed
- Ed,
That might be because you are on the naughty list.LOL!!
Martin555.Liked by figtree7nts - What camera are you using, and what settings? The exposure seems OK but there looks like a bit of camera shake and/or out of focus. Both can possibly be overcome without needing a new camera, 'cos they ain't cheap.
Chris
It's Party Time!
I've been 3D printing various figures!
And I've positioned them throw out my yacht!
It did take some time to print them!
As, it can take about 2 hours per figure!
Then comes the painting!
I didn't have a lot of different paints.
So, I used what I had on hand!
As, you will notice!
I didn't have yellow!
So, there are no blond people aboard my yacht!
I may purchase some yellow.
It's kind of weird a boat full of brunet's only! LOL!
But, it's a diversified yacht!
Take a close look around!
Cheers, Ed
PS. I'm hoping for a new camera for Christmas! I've gota tell Santa!
- Ed,
As you say shame about the photos, we could pretend it was a foggy day LOL!!
The figures have come out well.
What is next maybe print some nice white fenders ?
Martin555. - they say blondes are dumb but i have not got first hand knowledge of this. brianLiked by Martin555
