copper boiler

Parts for my new boiler project which is to be coal fired and is a practice tig welding exercise for further work [ Gordons Clyde Puffer ] . Its mostly 1/8 material so will need plenty of amps although i am using Helium which will make it somewhat easier. The boiler will probably be going in a paddle steamer like the Medway Queen but we shall see later. I have so many projects on the go at once that it might be some time !! Les Breame

hi Les ,loved the coal fired outboard will see if my brother still has the film of the pulse jet engine we built years ago after watching scrapheap challenge it was welded construction from steam pipe and bends a spark plug and a hoover as a blower and nearly burnt the shed down the noise was unbeleavable it sounded like a buzbomb it stood about 2ft high and went red hot in minutes if I remember correctly it was welded to a 200lb anvil to keep it still
