Started my new build. Keel is 10mm ply and ribs are 6mm ply. Have not got a band saw so cut with jig saw. I wont do that again. A lot of preparation before I start planking. Scale is 1" to 1ft. on the plans so photo copied and reduced by 20%. Think I am going to have a real problem with the round stern. But do like a challenge

Will the fantail stern be vertical, or have a little tumblehome? If it's vertical, maybe soaking two layers of thinner material (half the thickness of the planking,) will make the radius. If there's a little tumblehome your planking will have to have a crescent shape to lay flat on your deck frames.
At the start of my build I said I had cut the ribs with a jig saw. The more time I spent trying to clean up and make good the cutting the more disillusioned I got with the build. It was never going to happen. I could see I was never going to be happy with it. It was going to be a chore rather than fun.
So all the work and the hours that been done was now to be wasted.
Brain wave. Its going to make a unique hanging basket.
Hooray !!!!

Don't despair Graham. The time wasn't wasted. I have experienced those dead ends more than I care to admit, but have come to believe that these are learning experiences. I call them positive negatives. They have taught me what not to do next time.😊
Your hanging basket idea will indeed be a novelty!👍
Not to be beaten. Still wanting to build the Fisher 44 I have invested in this lovely machine. An electric coping saw. It is brill for the profile cutting and as close I could get to the accurate as using a laser.
So starting again with the FISHER 44
