I know the builder of the great looking H.M.S. Scimitar He is a also a great builder I've seen that model in action this summer & mention to Rowen that I'd like to build one it has been on my mind for a while because I had a Toys r Us plastic model speed boat the I found & didn't like . So long story short started to build a imitation H.M.S. Scimitar . After seeing the finished photo's I had a better look of it so started the boat build .Mine will not be anything like Rowen's & she won't be as fast but out in the water it may look O/K Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas & Every One a Happy New year .

How big is the hull you are using? What type of motor will you use, as you will be surpised with the speed that you will get even from a small brushless motor. Have you progressed with your build yet ?
Good Morning to all & in 16 Hours it will be 2022 so every one Have a Happy New Year & stay safe out there. Did a little work on my build blog & have decided to rename model H.M.S.Sabre . She is 18 inch's in length & will have a Graupner Speed 600 - 7.2 volt . I also upgraded the stuffing box & motor shaft to a 4mm . Raised the cabin 1/4 inch & put the 2 doorways in .It's a little crude but will get better as time goes by I hope .I will try to use 1.2 volt rechargeable batteries in a 6 pack holder for 7.2 volts with 2300 milli. amp. hr. rating.
