Apologies from the colonials - not much saluting done in our little lot except by the ex WW2 retreads - was once asked what the h..l I was doing trying to salute a Group Captain on a FAF (Forward Air Field) - officers had to lead from the front - unpopular orders usually greeted with "You First My Man"..............Or "With All Due Respect - NO".
