When in Hollywood a few weeks ago for Grammys I passed by Warner brothers. It was totally flat, all this section was gone. This area housed the back lots that were investor movies. All gone. By the time I was leaving 2 months passed and they had started building foundations. Nobody knows if it’s studios or just offices or a shopping mall. The main warners area with the water tower is still intact. When I got home to MA where two houses were now stands an apartment complex almost built. It seems you can only rent not own houses anymore. Houses are bought up n rented or turn down to add multi family buildings. Lakes we used to float boats now are part of private complexes. Only a town owned park n lake are left near me. Model plane airfields are also fast going away. I have one club field and school yards to fly in. My uncle is 95 n builds ships. He is in NY. No place to run them there. Our town flying field was lost years ago. It became a soccer field for private club. I’ll just keep building but I’m running out of places to store them. I liked the bad landing n crashes it made space. I’m making a trip Friday to another state to go to a hobby shop n stock up. Cheers keep the building hobby alive

Just got back from a second trip to New Zealand having been there 7 years ago. It's like a breathe of fresh air with being a similar size to the UK but a tenth of the population!

Driving is a joy with great roads and little traffic once away from the few towns and cities. Didn't tour this time but stayed in the stunning Queenstown area in various locations which we visited last time. Did some boat related things I will mention elsewhere later.

Hello Hermank, Belgium is used for another purpose! When describing size they talk in 'so many' football fields, I think Wales is next then Belgium! You are top of the league for size!
So there may well have been fires the size of.......(Belgium).
For volume it seems only Olympic swimming pools will do, what ever they are?

The measurements honed over the centuries have now to be visual concepts. The less informed demand this but for myself the new meanings are just another indication of dumbed down education.

There are housing projects growing around here everywhere. The growing population the world over is demanding housing.
I live out in the country with a horse farm behind me and a cattle farm across the road. I am afraid housing industry will be soon knocking on my door.

Looks like all countries are getting the element dumped into. In USA illegals are taking over buildings, community centers n now we are being asked to take them home. From what I see hobby shops will be reducing in number and the ponds are not safe to even visit. I guess worst is the Pubs will be closing soon for good as the illegals grow in number. I’ve been trying to keep the hobby alive. Jan1 we lost the only hobby shop in Massachusetts in the eastern area. Now I’m forced to do internet buys. That is nice but I like to get advice n take home what products I see n need. The world is changing fast, I hope it will all end well n we can get the hobby ignited again.

Hi Ronald I used to have a duck that flapped its wings on the roof of my workshop. It was a bit noisy and could upset my neighbour. So when he made occasional remarks I used to set her loose for a day, I don't think he ever connected the two!

For Vlissingen the eyes they are invites to VIP Arrangements, exclusieve dinners for Not spelling about otters things that may not See the daylight. Afterwards These politicians have Voucher appartments at extremely Cheap prices and fantastic views from theorie living room!!!

Everywhere is getting built on, unless you are in the wilds of somewhere - England is rapidly drowning under concrete in the south, and I gather many other regions too.

Old buildings give way to larger houses. For us, it's called dense building, because as a small country we are slowly bursting at the seams and don't want to overbuild our meadows.
