Once in a blue moon

Roy and SWMBO I know I'm late, but enjoy it, we have just had our 45th wedding anniversary, but we've been together for 51 years so far and still trying to enjoy life.
Who needs cards anyway, it's memories that we share that count.

Hi Roger a good point and considered.
However we both agreed that a card from the Queen would have been very acceptable, but we decided to opt out of one from the King as missus does not like the other one!

I asked twice and the answer came back twice, an emphatic No.

So K & Q do not know how long we have been married! The whole thing is done by a separate department so not exactly personal.

Any comments?

We had a nice meal, totally stuffed now, good service, nice menu, nice conversation, must get to know her better!

You must be a very lucky and happy man being married for 60 years!!!
There are not many couples today who can say this!

Well they do happen every few years but overnight 30th. / 31st.August was a Blue moon. Nothing to do with colour just the second New Moon in a callendar month.

On the other hand my wife and I have our 60th. wedding anniversary today. Decided it was our anniversary and we are having lunch together, just us. By chance we first met on Thursday 31st. August (1961) and married 2 years later.

We found that starting as friends has worked well for us, mind you I fancied her within 10 minutes!

Still puzzled how she has put up with me for so long!!!
